Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers including senior, mid-level, and junior developers
• Drive sprint planning, estimations, and execution tracking to ensure timely delivery
• Balance short-term goals with long-term technical sustainability
• Build a culture of accountability, technical rigor, and collaboration
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews
• Participate in architecture and design reviews
• Collaborate with architects to translate product requirements into robust implementations
• Troubleshoot and guide resolution of production and integration issues
• Partner with the Director of Engineering to align on delivery priorities
• Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and Product Management for release readiness

Requirements

• 12+ years of software development experience using C or C++
• Domain expertise in IP networking or Firewall security
• 2-3 years of experience managing or leading teams in a cybersecurity environment
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IPsec, VPN, routing, NAT, DPI, and CFS Firewall policies
• Experience building multi-threaded, performance-sensitive systems
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and conduct technical reviews

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with DPDK, Netfilter, or similar packet processing frameworks
