Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team to design, develop, and operate Nike's multi-cloud ecosystem.
• Act as a primary technical leader for emerging cloud technology platforms.
• Drive organizational technical priorities and define engineering best practices.
• Translate complex business problems into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor and coach a team of highly talented software engineers to drive excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Product leadership and Distinguished Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, specifically focused on cloud infrastructure in multi-cloud environments.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, including performance reviews and coaching.
• Extensive hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS preferred, or Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency in cloud automation tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Golang, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with modern architectural patterns including microservices, DevOps, and REST.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux OS imaging, patching, and administration.
• Experience implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning, and GenAI solutions.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5.
• Experience working in a technical leadership role within agile teams using a product model.
