Senior Manager Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a small team of software engineers while conducting performance evaluations and career planning.
• Act as a working manager by designing, developing, and maintaining applications using C#, .NET, and WPF.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Author and review critical software engineering documentation, including architecture, detailed design, and test protocols.
• Ensure all software development complies with IEC 62304 and other medical device regulatory standards.
• Implement and maintain automated unit testing and test automation frameworks.
• Manage project schedules, risks, and deliverables for safety-critical software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Regulatory, and Systems Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 15-20+ years of experience developing safety-critical software within the medical device industry.
• Extensive hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and WPF development, including the MVVM pattern.
• Deep knowledge of IEC 62304 and medical device software lifecycle processes.
• Proven experience as a working manager, balancing technical execution with people leadership.
• Proficiency in Scrum/Agile methodologies and automated unit testing.
• Strong ability to author comprehensive technical documentation.
