Senior Manager, Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global HR Technologies Applications and Development team in Bogota, overseeing the development and maintenance of internally developed applications.
• Manage a development team of Java, .NET, and Pega developers, fostering a customer-focused culture and investing in their technical and leadership growth.
• Act as the principal application owner, ensuring software delivery meets business expectations while adhering to budgets, schedules, and development standards.
• Own, maintain, and enhance existing applications, including conducting regular code reviews and performing root cause analysis for production issues.
• Partner with Global HR business leaders to design modern, resilient, and cost-effective end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Architects to ensure delivery of initiatives in adherence to engineering standards and minimal technical debt.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in software development and team leadership.
• 2+ years of experience in the delivery of large-scale programs and global products.
• Expert-level technical skills in Java and .NET.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and people management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge of PEGA systems (BPN).
• Expertise in Power Apps and PowerBI.
