About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop a global sales pipeline and partnership strategy to achieve sponsorship revenue goals.
  • Cultivate prospects in global and local markets through category analysis and market research.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key external contacts, including Fortune 500 decision-makers and sports marketing influencers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including contact strategy, sales presentations, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal stakeholders (Media, IT, Football Operations, etc.) to develop customized marketing platforms.
  • Create strategic, customized partnership proposals and presentations for prospective partners.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline documentation and reports.
  • Support the management of the Sponsorship Business Development Senior Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sponsorship sales or business development at a league, team, agency, or corporate level.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
  • Valid passport for required international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the global sports marketing and sponsorship landscape.
  • Experience leveraging an existing network to initiate relationships with senior-level marketing executives.
  • Expertise in industry research, prospecting, and pitch ideation.
