About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop a global sales pipeline and partnership strategy to achieve sponsorship revenue goals.
- Cultivate prospects in global and local markets through category analysis and market research.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key external contacts, including Fortune 500 decision-makers and sports marketing influencers.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including contact strategy, sales presentations, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal stakeholders (Media, IT, Football Operations, etc.) to develop customized marketing platforms.
- Create strategic, customized partnership proposals and presentations for prospective partners.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline documentation and reports.
- Support the management of the Sponsorship Business Development Senior Coordinator.
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sponsorship sales or business development at a league, team, agency, or corporate level.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
- Valid passport for required international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the global sports marketing and sponsorship landscape.
- Experience leveraging an existing network to initiate relationships with senior-level marketing executives.
- Expertise in industry research, prospecting, and pitch ideation.
