Senior Manager, Safety & Compliance

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, emergency protocols, and hazard mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local EHS laws and regulations
• Provide safety-by-design guidance during engineering and pre-construction phases
• Partner with General Contractors to develop contractor safety orientations and specialized training
• Lead investigations of injuries, environmental events, and near-miss incidents using root cause analysis
• Maintain a strong field presence through site walk-throughs and coaching
• Lead advanced risk assessments such as FMEA, PHA, HAZOP, and Fault Tree Analysis
• Develop and approve technical safety procedures like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and confined space entry

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 7-10 years of experience as a Construction Safety professional in an industrial/manufacturing setting
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and ISO 45001 regulations
• Ability to translate technical safety data into actionable insights
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CHST, CSP, CIH, or NEBOSH
• OSHA 30-Hr Construction Safety Certification
• NFPA 70E Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP)
