Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own GAAP revenue recognition for all products and services in compliance with ASC 606, including complex SaaS and technology arrangements.
• Optimize NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), including revenue rules, allocation logic, and automation.
• Oversee accounts receivable, billing, cash application, and collections processes.
• Lead revenue-related close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and deferred revenue rollforwards.
• Manage the annual audit process for all revenue-related areas, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing revenue accounting and accounts receivable team, including managing offshore resources.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and FP&A to ensure contract and SKU alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA is strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience within a SaaS or technology company.
• Deep technical expertise in ASC 606 and GAAP revenue recognition.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, specifically Advanced Revenue Management (ARM).
• Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to reconcile large, complex datasets.
• Proven experience managing or building offshore accounting teams.
• Demonstrated ability to improve manual processes through automation and system enhancements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling revenue operations in a high-growth or global technology environment.
• Demonstrated people management experience with a focus on mentoring and development.
• Experience leading finance transformation or system implementation initiatives.
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm preferred) with exposure to SaaS clients.
