About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and oversee global regulatory reporting across all jurisdictions, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete submissions.
- Lead the regulatory reporting function and drive enhancements to automated reporting platforms.
- Maintain strong governance and internal controls, including reconciliations, exception management, and evidence retention.
- Partner with Technology and Data teams to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and perform UAT for reporting systems.
- Act as a primary liaison between Compliance, Legal, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Product teams to ensure data integrity.
- Proactively monitor regulatory changes, assess business impact, and lead implementation efforts for new requirements.
- Manage the submission process for periodic and ad-hoc reports and lead root-cause analysis for any reporting defects.
- Lead, coach, and develop the regulatory reporting team, setting performance expectations and quality benchmarks.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in regulatory reporting and compliance across major jurisdictions (US, Europe, or APAC).
- Strong understanding of regulatory interpretation, internal controls, and audit/examination expectations.
- Experience governing automated regulatory reporting processes, including translating requirements into system logic and performing UAT.
- Demonstrated expertise in data integration, data governance, lineage, and reconciliations.
- Track record of supporting regulatory examinations and internal/external audits, including documentation management.
- Ability to manage complex deadlines and cross-functional stakeholders in a global, multi-entity environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications such as CPA, CAMS, FRM, or PMP.
