Senior Manager, R&D Biomechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical strategy across multiple concurrent R&D programs
• Act as a hands-on technical leader through prototyping and design reviews
• Build and scale the engineering team by recruiting top talent and creating development paths
• Partner with cross-functional leaders in product, design, and operations
• Champion a "fail fast, learn fast" approach to product iteration
• Identify and resolve technical risks early in the development cycle

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• 5–10+ years in product development with leadership experience
• Experience leading teams across multiple concurrent projects from concept to mass production
• Hands-on experience with biomechanical research applied to product design
• Proficiency with test equipment, data analysis, and CAD fundamentals
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
• Exceptional communication skills for translating technical work to senior stakeholders
