Senior Manager, R&D

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 10–12 engineers in Bengaluru to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted workflows using tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve SDLC execution and team productivity.
• Partner with Product Management and R&D Leadership to define and execute the 6-month product roadmap and long-term technical strategy.
• Oversee the full software development life cycle, ensuring engineering excellence, operational efficiency, and adherence to secure coding standards.
• Manage administrative and financial duties, including workforce planning, budget management, and recruitment strategy.
• Mentor team members through regular one-on-ones, career development coaching, and performance management.
• Remove technical and operational blockers to ensure teams meet objectives and deliver work on time.

Requirements

• 12+ years of overall experience in software development or engineering leadership.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering management or a related leadership role.
• Proven experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to enhance development workflows.
• Strong experience in workforce planning and budget management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex engineering initiatives and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
