About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, structure, and grow a multidisciplinary team of 15 engineers and PhDs specializing in mechanics, systems, simulation, and design.
- Define the technical strategy for the department in alignment with the global R&D vision.
- Supervise complex mechatronic design projects, including modeling, simulation, and high-precision system design.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables and the timely achievement of project milestones.
- Implement and evolve engineering methods, tools, and standards, promoting best practices such as the V-cycle and risk analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams including industrialization, production, marketing, and quality to support international projects.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or PhD in mechanics, mechatronics, systems, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the design of complex, high-precision mechatronic systems.
- Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary R&D teams.
- Strong expertise in system architecture, simulation, control, and structural dynamics.
- Proficiency in design and simulation tools such as CAD, Matlab/Simulink, or Ansys.
- Fluent English skills for a global professional context.
- Natural leadership abilities with the capacity to unite teams in demanding environments.
