Senior Manager, Quality Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define and own the cross-team quality strategy, including test automation standards, coverage targets, and shift-left practices.
• Build, lead, and develop a team of SDETs and QEs across Mobile, Web, Middleware, MarTech, and Merchandise.
• Partner with Development Managers and leadership to integrate quality practices into delivery planning and roadmap sessions.
• Own QE tooling and infrastructure, including the evaluation of test frameworks and CI/CD quality gates in Azure DevOps.
• Lead hiring and onboarding for the QE function, managing both full-time employees and staff augmentation resources.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in quality engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a QE management or director-level role leading cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on background in test automation, framework design, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience with mobile (React Native/iOS/Android), web (Next.js/React), and API/serverless testing.
• Proven track record of building or scaling a QE function within a product engineering organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a QSR, retail, or consumer-facing digital commerce environment.
• Familiarity with performance and load testing for high-volume consumer platforms.
• Experience managing nearshore or offshore staff augmentation teams.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1) and ISTQB certification.
