About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the television production business and build trusted relationships with senior executives and stakeholders
- Serve as a strategic advisor and liaison between business units and technology teams to identify opportunities for technology enablement
- Translate complex functional requirements into technical requirements and collaborate closely with developers as a subject matter expert
- Lead change management efforts, user acceptance testing, and documentation to ensure business preparedness and user adoption
- Develop project plans, track sprint progress, and communicate risks and issues within an Agile/SCRUM environment
- Provide first-line support for user-reported issues and lead data conversion and validation efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent years of experience
- 10 years of experience working on custom software development projects
- 4+ years of experience managing a team and leading projects
- Deep business domain experience within financial planning, financial reporting, ERP, or similar fields
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data using SQL, multi-dimensional databases, or Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment with teams of 4-8 people
- Proven ability to write high-quality technical specifications and test plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at a major studio in television production or distribution
- Experience working on financial systems, specifically SAP financials or Hyperion Planning
- Experience with Airtable, Snowflake, or Oracle relational databases
- Experience with SOX applications
