About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-visibility production control team and oversee multiple professionals.
  • Perform material availability analysis, tracking, and reporting to ensure production continuity.
  • Manage kit readiness by collaborating with cross-functional teams in BOM, Material Master, and Process Engineering.
  • Release production orders in MRP systems and confirm activities within shop floor systems.
  • Coordinate the kitting process across multiple stores and consolidation areas.
  • Provide production floor support, including WIP movement, material staging, and replacement part management.
  • Control the physical disposition of nonconforming or specially handled materials.
  • Maintain the integrity of shop floor, MRP, and inventory systems through key performance metrics.

Requirements

  • University Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 7 years of experience).
  • Proven experience in planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Hands-on experience with MRP systems and/or Special Program Access applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing daily team operations.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain an Interim U.S. government issued security clearance prior to the start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment, specifically managing collective bargaining workforces.
  • Proficiency with Six Sigma, CORE, or Lean Manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with shop floor data systems and Special Program Access.
  • Strong background in supporting cross-functional teams.
