Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the APAC PE/TD/CMF engineering team in Vietnam to grow technical capabilities.
  • Drive the manufacturing process through Design for Manufacture (DFM) and new product development.
  • Assign engineers to specific projects to support product design, risk assessment, and test plan development.
  • Coordinate between APAC engineering teams and other functional teams to ensure technical alignment with factories.
  • Partner with internal teams and factories to ensure products are documented via technical specification packages and work instructions.
  • Ensure projects meet financial targets related to COGs and Capital.
  • Build factory engineering capability assessment systems and drive continuous improvement in OEM/ODM processes.
  • Work closely with QA to resolve technical issues regarding product function and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Fashion Design and Engineering, or Textile Engineering.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, with a preference for soft goods experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of textile cut & sew, RF welding, and basic knowledge of metal and plastic injection.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing processes and quality standards such as PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Extensive experience in project and team management with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.
  • Professional fluency in English with experience communicating with US-based teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically within the soft goods industry.
  • Familiarity with specialized software used in the hard goods and soft goods industries.
