Senior Manager, Process Engineering

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop stable, capable unit processes, specifically focusing on vacuum-based processes
• Lead and mentor a team of process engineers and technicians
• Create SOPs, workflows, and work instructions for process systems and provide staff training
• Partner with equipment and integration engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and hit technical milestones
• Develop and utilize data management systems, including laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

Requirements

• M.S. in a technical field (Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent)
• 10+ years of experience in process engineering within thin film R&D and manufacturing
• 5+ years of experience in a management role
• Deep understanding of inorganic materials science and various materials synthesis techniques
• Expertise in Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Proficiency in materials analysis, including microscopy (optical/electron), surface probe measurements, and X-ray measurements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage equipment vendor activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant technical field
• Experience in semiconductor, battery, solar cell, or optoelectronics industries
• Experience working within a fabrication facility
• Proficiency with JMP software
