Senior Manager Private Assets Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing operations to ensure high levels of accuracy for monthly and quarterly trading of Private Asset products
• Oversee subscriptions, distributions, rollovers, and redemptions to ensure completion within required timelines
• Act as a primary liaison with internal departments and vendors to ensure product setup and functionality
• Partner with internal stakeholders including Portfolio Management, Scotia Trust, and Scotia Capital to ensure proper trade execution
• Manage various projects and initiatives to continuously improve operations and enhance product offerings
• Manage reporting capabilities for the Portfolio Management and Product teams
• Assist in writing detailed business requirements for new or additional enhancements for Private Asset products

Requirements

• University degree in Business or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in a back office or administration capacity
• Minimum of 5 years in a managerial position with experience in coaching and developing others
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA/CFA designation or Private Markets and Alternative Investment Certificate
• Knowledge of mutual fund accounting principles, capital markets, and various fund structures
• Prior experience working with executive committees in investment-related areas
• Experience with Transfer Agency or Tax reporting for Mutual Funds
