Senior Manager, PR & Communications

Responsibilities

• Support Flexport's PR strategy end-to-end, including proactive media pitching, inbound management, and rapid response.
• Define and evolve the company narrative to differentiate Flexport from legacy freight forwarders.
• Develop and execute a thought leadership program for the CEO & Founder and other senior leaders.
• Build and deepen relationships with key reporters in logistics, trade, technology, and business.
• Own the voice and cadence of customer communications regarding service updates, policy changes, and product announcements.
• Leverage AI tools to drive efficiencies in content production, media monitoring, and research.
• Partner with Product Marketing, Growth, and Content teams to align messaging with product launches and campaigns.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in PR and communications, ideally with a mix of agency and in-house experience.
• Proven media relationships and a track record of securing coverage in top-tier business and tech outlets.
• Experience acting as a communications partner to senior executives, including interview prep and thought leadership development.
• Experience managing B2B customer communications, particularly during sensitive or complex industry shifts.
• Strong editorial instincts and the ability to build scalable content programs.
• Proficiency with AI tools to automate workflows and enhance content production.
