About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end financial and inventory strategy for your division, setting direction across sales, margin, inventory, and turns
  • Lead the monthly OTB process, framing tradeoffs and recommendations for leadership
  • Define and evolve divisional inventory and replenishment strategies in partnership with Supply Chain
  • Act as the planning counterpart to Merchandising, shaping assortment and pricing decisions
  • Identify risks and opportunities through weekly performance analysis
  • Build pre-season financial plans to translate assortment vision into executable targets
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy and scale the function
  • Develop and coach a team of planners, elevating analytical rigor and business judgment

Requirements

  • 8+ years in merchandise planning, inventory planning, or retail finance
  • Direct ownership of a department or division-level P&L
  • 3+ years managing planners, including hiring and developing teams
  • Deep expertise in retail math, forecasting, and inventory management
  • Proven ability to influence Merchandising leaders on assortment and pricing
  • Experience leading cross-functional, cross-divisional initiatives
  • Strong command of planning tools (Advanced Excel, Anaplan, Netsuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Experience with multiple inventory models (owned and drop-ship)
  • Comfort in high-growth, evolving e-commerce environments
