Senior Manager of Technical Design

Responsibilities

• Lead the growing Technical Design team specializing in petite fit expertise
• Establish processes to maintain industry-leading position in fit and quality
• Educate and coach the Technical Design team to enhance skills and knowledge
• Evaluate and stabilize processes and tools from fit blocks to tech pack excellence
• Drive innovation in technical design work and establish best in class tools
• Streamline development processes to drive speed, bandwidth, and accuracy
• Partner with vendors to ensure products meet fit goals and quality standards in bulk production
• Partner with product development and merchandising to achieve performance goals
• Leverage internal and external data to inform technical decision making
• Partner with the Head of Product Development and Sourcing to evolve team structure

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in technical design and product development within Women’s apparel
• 8 years of management experience setting strategies and leading teams
• Extensive experience in petites
• Expert knowledge of product creation lifecycle, fit, and patternmaking
• Strong aptitude for data, metrics, reporting, and analysis
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco

Preferred Qualifications

• BA or BS degree
• Proven success as a process architect leading teams through significant change
• Strong industry relationships and experience with vendor partnerships
