Senior Manager of Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of software engineers working on complex tasks.
• Be accountable for decisions influencing team resources, budget, tactical operations, and process implementation.
• Ensure successful collaboration across multiple technical teams and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks to execute the book of work while escalating issues as necessary.
• Set and scale operating practices for AI-assisted engineering and SDLC automation to improve delivery speed and quality.
• Create a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect within the engineering organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Advanced working experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience leading teams of technologists.
• Practical experience in cloud-native environments and system design.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Proficiency in automation and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience leading the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and defining governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java and Oracle databases.
• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as RMQ or Kafka.
• Proficiency in ReactJS and JavaScript.
• Functional domain knowledge in FX or Derivatives Settlements.
