About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach multiple engineering teams delivering solutions for internal funding, Net Interest Income (NII), and related accounting use cases.
- Shape technical strategy for platform modernization, focusing on cloud-first and data-first approaches.
- Manage accountability for team resources, budgets, tactical operations, and execution across multiple pipelines.
- Set and scale operating practices for AI-assisted engineering and SDLC automation to improve delivery speed and quality.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Treasury, SRE, and Data Platform stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Champion engineering best practices for big data processing, microservices, API design, and CI/CD.
- Ensure finance-grade controls, including data lineage, reconciliations, and validations, meet reporting standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams and managing complex technical domains.
- Practical cloud-native experience in AWS (compute, storage, networking, and security).
- Proficiency with Databricks and Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Strong coding skills in Python and Java.
- Deep understanding of finance and accounting concepts (e.g., accruals, interest calculation, ledger alignment).
- Experience leading the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and defining governance for their use.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing high-quality code and design at a senior level.
- Background in AI/ML enablement for operational efficiency and anomaly detection in finance data.
- Familiarity with finance technology operating models, controls, and regulatory audit expectations.
- Demonstrated success driving large-scale platform modernization and cloud migrations.
