Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the site reliability engineering strategy for the liquidity risk team, driving improvements in resiliency, scalability, and automation.
• Act as the non-functional requirement owner and champion for applications within your remit.
• Drive the adoption of SRE practices and ensure teams demonstrate best practices through empirical stability and reliability metrics.
• Foster a culture of continual improvement using blameless, data-driven post-mortem strategies.
• Provide personalized coaching and professional development for entry to mid-level team members.
• Negotiate with peers and executive partners to ensure optimal outcomes for stability and efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java (Spring Boot), or .Net.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or ECS.
• Strong knowledge of troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
• Proven experience leading technologists and managing complex technological issues.
• Demonstrated experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to code and demonstrate high levels of data fluency.
