Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering

Responsibilities

• Champion non-functional requirements including resiliency, security, scalability, and automation for the liquidity risk team.
• Drive the adoption of site reliability practices and ensure teams demonstrate best practices through empirical stability and reliability metrics.
• Lead and coach technologists, providing personalized development for entry to mid-level team members.
• Implement blameless, data-driven post-mortem strategies to enable continuous learning from successes and mistakes.
• Negotiate with peers and executive partners to ensure optimal outcomes for application stability and efficiency.
• Foster a culture of continual improvement and knowledge sharing through internal forums and communities of practice.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and culture.
• Proven experience leading technologists and managing complex technological issues.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java (Spring Boot), or .Net.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or ECS.
• Experience troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to write code and demonstrate high levels of data fluency.
