Senior Manager, Network Operations

Responsibilities

• Manage the stability, performance, security, and availability of the global enterprise network (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, firewalls, VPN, cloud, and on-premise)
• Lead and coach a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and prioritization
• Serve as an escalation point for high-severity network incidents and coordinate root cause analysis
• Execute network modernization initiatives including automation, resiliency, and lifecycle management
• Partner with Information Security on firewall policy, segmentation, and secure architecture
• Improve monitoring and observability using tools like SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, and Wireshark
• Maintain operational KPIs such as uptime, MTTR, and change success rate

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure operations
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing technical network teams
• Hands-on experience with routing/switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VRFs)
• Experience with Next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto Networks preferred)
• Experience with wireless networking (Cisco Meraki preferred)
• Proficiency with VPN technologies, IPSec, GRE, and NAT
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent
• CCNP or equivalent enterprise networking certification

Preferred Qualifications

• CCIE or equivalent expert-level certification
• Juniper JNCIP or JNCIE
• Palo Alto PCNSE
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty or Solutions Architect – Professional
• ITIL Foundation v3/v4
• Experience in HIPAA-regulated biotech, pharma, or healthcare environments
