Senior Manager Merchandising Finance & Analytics

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of key financial performance drivers, including variances to prior year and plan
• Evaluate customer and vendor profitability to identify risks and opportunities
• Drive recommendations to senior leadership to improve profitability and support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
• Direct analysis of expense performance and trends to identify cost optimization opportunities
• Own the forecasting process and oversee the delivery of accurate, actionable financial reporting
• Establish and standardize scalable financial processes and reporting frameworks
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts to foster a high-performing finance organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline)
• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, or analytics
• Strong leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for senior executives

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or CFA designation
• Experience in food distribution, retail, CPG, or multi-SKU environments
• Proficiency with large datasets, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and ERP systems
• Direct experience in merchandising, pricing, or category management
