About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the aftermarket material planning team, providing mentorship and guidance to promote a high-performing culture.
- Develop and implement robust strategies for material management and purchasing activities to meet aftermarket objectives.
- Define appropriate inventory levels to balance supply and demand, optimizing turnover while reducing excess stock.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes and systems to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize ERP systems to their full potential for effective material planning and inventory control.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or Operations Management.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in material planning or supply chain management, specifically within aftermarket services.
- At least 2 years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in supply chain management.
- APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification or similar.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.
- Experience with international sourcing and procurement.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data for informed decision-making.
