Senior Manager, Manufacturing Systems & Operations Readiness

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor manufacturing campaign readiness, including batch preparation, documentation status, and material readiness.
• Develop and maintain Smartsheet-based trackers, dashboards, action logs, and readiness heatmaps.
• Coordinate input from Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, Supply Chain, and CDMOs into integrated readiness views.
• Establish governance routines, readiness meetings, and escalation processes for Manufacturing leadership.
• Support commercial readiness gap assessments across manufacturing operations and facility readiness.
• Provide direct support to the Head of Manufacturing with meeting administration, agenda preparation, and action tracking.
• Support organizational maturation by establishing fit-for-purpose processes, templates, and operating rhythms.
• Track planned manufacturing activities at CDMOs to optimize resource utilization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, engineering, operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in GMP manufacturing, external manufacturing, or manufacturing support within biotech/pharma.
• Experience in vaccine, biologics, or complex large-molecule manufacturing environments.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with Smartsheet (dashboards, automated workflows, cross-sheet references).
• Deep experience in commercial readiness, launch preparation, or operational readiness in a regulated environment.
• Expertise in operational excellence, Lean, or visual management.
• Strong ability to work cross-functionally with MSAT, Quality, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing concise status updates and management reports.

• Experience supporting organizational maturation and establishing governance routines in a growing organization.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
