Senior Manager, Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily production operations to ensure on-time, high-quality manufacturing of custom plastics and thermoplastic tanks.
• Develop, implement, and manage production plans and schedules, adjusting resources and workflows to meet demand.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing production team through coaching and performance management.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety, quality, output, efficiency, and waste.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to drive operational effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Repligen Performance System (RPS) methodologies.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process optimizations through technology and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field with 8+ years of experience, OR a Masters Degree with 6+ years of experience, OR a PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• At least 4 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, quality control principles, and health and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Proficiency with production management software such as ERP or MES systems.
• Background in manufacturing, with experience in mechanical engineering, carpentry, or cabinet/furniture making.
• Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in plastics or thermoplastic fabrication.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
