Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology designed to keep the electric grid secure and reliable. We are scaling up battery manufacturing at our state-of-the-art facility in West Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimization of battery manufacturing processes for battery assembly manufacturing.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of manufacturing processes including manual and robotic assembly, joining, sealing, and system leak testing.
  • Collaborate with product design, R&D, quality, and supply chain teams to translate requirements into manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA, process specifications, measurement systems GR&R, control plans, and quality inspection methods.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify root causes of manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive data-driven decisions for process optimization to achieve factory production metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in engineering roles within battery manufacturing or a related industry.
  • 4+ years of experience leading technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing equipment procurement, setup, and commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and statistical analysis.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams for electrochemical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
