Senior Manager - Machine Learning

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and data scientists working on the search platform and ML optimizations.
• Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for search relevance, platform optimizations, and innovation.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of search engine features including query understanding, ranking, personalization, and voice search.
• Collaborate with Cloud, product, and business teams to ensure alignment and ruthless prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide technical direction and hands-on management to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient search solutions.
• Recruit world-class Search platform and ML engineering talent.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering management.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Information Retrieval.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality and scalable search engine solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across distributed teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with voice search, speech recognition, or natural language understanding.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP.
