About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team building and operating cloud-native applications, services, and custom analytics solutions to support FP&A and Controllership functions.
- Deliver high-quality software that meets finance requirements for reliability, auditability, governance, and performance.
- Partner with Data Engineering to define data contracts, onboard finance data into the United Data Hub (UDH), and ensure data quality.
- Collaborate with Enterprise AI teams to deliver finance AI use cases, including AI/ML and GenAI, from concept to production.
- Drive predictable delivery through Agile practices, disciplined release management, and strong production support processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Finance leaders, translating business outcomes into actionable technical strategies and roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience with a focus on software engineering and building cloud-native or data-intensive applications.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience delivering cloud-based solutions using AWS and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevSecOps).
- Strong engineering fundamentals in API/service design, event-driven patterns, and secure SDLC practices.
- Proficiency with technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, or C#/.NET.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience modernizing legacy solutions into cloud-native architectures at scale.
- Experience delivering calculation-intensive finance solutions such as scenario modeling or forecasting.
- Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps and operational monitoring for AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience in the airline industry.
