Senior Manager, Internal Audit

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex audit and advisory engagements aligned with business risks.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite executives and Audit Committee members.
• Oversee the development of risk-based audit programs and ensure efficient testing procedures.
• Review and enhance audit workpapers to ensure accuracy and alignment with internal and external standards.
• Serve as a key escalation point for audit issues and provide proactive support for special projects.
• Partner with Enterprise Risk Management to align audit coverage with emerging enterprise priorities.
• Drive data analytics and automation initiatives to enhance audit efficiency and insight generation.
• Monitor remediation efforts and evaluate the effectiveness of management’s corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or internal audit within a public company.
• Strong understanding of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and control evaluation.
• Proven experience with SOX readiness and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with senior leadership.
• Ability to lead engagements and manage competing priorities within tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and the design of meaningful audit analytics.
• Experience developing or enhancing audit methodologies, tools, or quality assurance processes.
