Senior Manager - India Controller

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for India legal entities, ensuring accurate books and timely completion.
• Oversee tax compliance including GST, TDS/withholding tax, corporate tax, transfer pricing, and related filings.
• Lead the coordination of statutory, tax, and group audits, including the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
• Monitor compliance with internal financial controls and support SOX readiness.
• Provide functional oversight and quality review for work performed by the Hyderabad accounting team.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal ownership of filings and documentation.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5–8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, the Companies Act, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proven experience managing monthly/quarterly closes, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, corporate tax, and India-specific compliance obligations.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Experience in financial services, investment management, or a multinational GCC environment is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to SOX, internal financial controls, or group control frameworks.
• Experience using Workday and/or Workiva.
