Senior Manager, Group Tax

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and review of Group-wide income tax reporting, including current and deferred tax provisions, ensuring SOX compliance.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax filings at the Group level to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Own the development and maintenance of tax reporting frameworks and documentation of processes and controls.
• Provide technical leadership on consolidated tax workings for quarterly, half-year, and year-end Group Tax Reports.
• Monitor and assess tax risks across the Group, providing strategic input into risk mitigation and governance frameworks.
• Advise on effective tax rate management and cash tax forecasting to support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Lead the tax audit process across Group entities and maintain oversight of transfer pricing documentation.
• Lead the Group’s Pillar 2 compliance implementation project, including data remediation.
• Partner with Legal, Treasury, and M&A teams to assess tax implications of strategic transactions and acquisitions.

Requirements

• CTA/ACA qualified or equivalent with a strong academic background.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in international tax reporting, consolidation, and compliance.
• Experience working within a UK/US listed multinational environment.
• Proven expertise in corporate tax, deferred tax, transfer pricing, and SOX compliance.
• Experience managing tax risk and governance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in emerging markets, specifically Africa or LATAM.
