Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

Responsibilities

• Manage technical accounting and financial reporting workstreams, setting operational objectives and overseeing departmental schedules.
• Oversee the end-to-end financial reporting lifecycle for CFTC-registered Swap Dealer entities, including monthly/quarterly filings and capital calculations.
• Direct the forensic review and reconciliation of complex historical data to ensure an audit-ready foundation.
• Bridge the gap between raw custodial/on-chain data and GAAP reporting to ensure high-volume transactions are accurately tracked.
• Act as an internal authority on ASC 606 and ASC 805, specifically regarding principal vs. agent nuances and M&A integrations.
• Lead project management for sophisticated financial disclosures, including MD&A and potential SEC registration statements.
• Design and implement SOPs for offshore teams and optimize the integration between crypto sub-ledgers and NetSuite.

Requirements

• Proven track record in Big 4 Audit/Technical Desks or Accounting Advisory (e.g., CFGI, FTI, EY, KPMG).
• Direct experience handling financial recordkeeping and regulatory filings for a CFTC Swap Dealer, FCM, or SEC Broker-Dealer.
• Expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 805 (Purchase Accounting).
• Proficiency in Workiva and NetSuite.
• Experience with DeFi accounting and managing high-volume, unstructured data sources.
• Strong people and project management skills, with experience leading direct reports or offshore resources.
