Senior Manager, Financial Partnerships, Local Payment Methods

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and implement a banking partnerships strategy for the US and the Americas to support global collections and payouts networks.
• Manage strategic partnership opportunities, acting as the primary point of contact between Airwallex and key financial partners.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to integrate with local banking partners, acquirers, and payment methods during geographic expansion.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and project manage the onboarding of new prospective partners.
• Conduct market research to monitor the competitive landscape and maintain Airwallex's position as a payment leader.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with financial institutions, card schemes, and payment networks.
• Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with banking partners in the US and the Americas.
• Strong understanding of compliance and bank onboarding processes.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial.
• International market experience managing cross-border relationships.
• Exceptional negotiation skills to navigate complex commercial discussions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience working at a global, pre-IPO startup.
• Experience building a financial partnerships function within a new geography.
• Established thought leadership within the Fintech industry.
