Senior Manager, Financial Partnerships, Banking & New Market Development, EMEA

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and implement a banking partnerships strategy for the UK and Europe to support Airwallex’s global collections and payouts network.
• Manage strategic partnership opportunities, acting as the primary point of contact between Airwallex and key financial partners.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to integrate with local banking partners, acquirers, and payment methods during geographic expansion.
• Conduct market research to monitor the competitive landscape and maintain Airwallex's position as a payment leader.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and project manage the onboarding of new prospective partners.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with financial institutions, global/regional banks, and payment networks.
• Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with banking partners in the UK and Europe.
• Strong negotiation skills to navigate complex commercial discussions.
• Deep understanding of compliance and onboarding processes with global and regional banks.
• Experience working within technology-led businesses in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• International experience managing cross-border relationships or working across multiple markets.
• A strong existing network of banking partners and financial institutions within the EMEA region.
