Senior Manager, Field Applications Engineer (FAE)

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead technical interface for customers, providing support for MCU, MPU, and Connectivity products
• Partner with Sales to define and implement sales strategies for embedded processing products
• Determine customer requirements and proactively recommend products and solutions
• Manage and drive technical issue escalations with internal engineering teams
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Field Applications Engineers (FAEs)
• Set technical development targets, conduct performance reviews, and manage resource allocation
• Collaborate with Product Line and Marketing teams to influence future product roadmaps

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience with ARM and/or proprietary MCU-based embedded processing design
• 3+ years of people leadership experience (team lead, supervisor, or manager)
• Proficiency in embedded processor project design and debug using RTOS and Linux-based systems
• Strong understanding of hardware design and schematics related to MCUs
• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Renesas MCU/MPU products or similar semiconductor products
• Experience with wireless connectivity products (BLE, Wi-Fi, and NFC)
• Experience in embedded AI/ML applications
• Proven success in building high-performance technical teams
