Senior Manager Facilities Services

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the Facilities Services team, managing daily operations for maintenance, grounds, and custodial services.
• Establish, update, and review department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations.
• Oversee building maintenance budgets and inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Solve complex maintenance problems and provide technical service expertise.
• Manage customer relationships by identifying needs, advising on services, and soliciting feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement and refine emergency response plans and ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
• Participate in short-term and long-term strategic planning for the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Proven leadership experience in managing personnel.
• Demonstrated experience in all phases of project management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in campus services, maintenance, and custodial operations management.
• Advanced knowledge of IOSHA regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
• Experience managing and overseeing maintenance budgets.
• Proficiency in operational processes related to service requests and work orders.
