Senior Manager, Facilities

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of new office and lab build-outs, expansions, and major upgrades
• Serve as owner's representative working with external PMs and design/construction vendors
• Coordinate move logistics, furniture installations, and contractor scheduling
• Conduct site inspections and system testing for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
• Oversee GCs, architects, engineers, and ongoing service providers
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for all building systems
• Ensure lab spaces have appropriate infrastructure including ventilation, specialized plumbing, and gas lines
• Serve as site EHS lead for workplace safety and environmental compliance
• Manage facilities budgets for build-out and ongoing operations
• Partner with Finance and Legal on site selection, lease negotiations, and renewals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration
• 5+ years of facilities management experience in a multi-site or campus environment
• 2–3 years of experience in a laboratory or R&D setting
• Proven track record leading office/lab build-outs or relocations
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Familiarity with lab-specific requirements like air handling and chemical exhaust
• Ability to read blueprints and MEP plans
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and building codes
• Experience with CMMS and BMS software
