About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide AML and Sanctions oversight and advisory on the enterprise-wide payments ecosystem, including SWIFT ISO20022 mandates and digital/fintech payment types.
- Collaborate directly with Business Lines to craft AML solutions and ensure a strategic approach to compliance.
- Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of AML and Sanctions risks related to enterprise payments.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of enterprise payments while reducing redundant touch points.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects related to enterprise payments to ensure timely delivery.
- Address and resolve payments-related AML and Sanctions concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge in payment messages (MT103, MT202, pacs.008, pacs.009, pain.001) and ISO20022 data elements.
- Deep understanding of Global AML and Sanctions obligations, including Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, KYC, Name Screening, and Regulatory Reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing stakeholders across first and second lines of defense.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and build strong professional relationships.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of data flows, data integrity, data lineage, and DFS Part 504.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in the global payments landscape.
