Senior Manager, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering organization of 15–30 engineers, including Engineering Managers and Tech Leads
• Develop the next generation of engineering leaders through coaching and structured feedback
• Own org design, headcount planning, and performance calibration
• Translate product strategy into a multi-quarter engineering roadmap
• Drive predictable, high-quality delivery and remove cross-functional blockers
• Own and report on engineering KPIs including delivery, quality, reliability, and security
• Set technical vision and architecture direction in partnership with architects
• Lead major technical initiatives such as re-platforming, scalability, and AI/ML adoption
• Champion engineering excellence in design reviews, CI/CD, and observability
• Partner with Product, Design, and DevOps leaders to align on outcomes

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience
• 5+ years in engineering management, including managing managers or senior ICs
• Proven track record of leading multi-team organizations at scale
• Deep technical foundation in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong product sense and ability to partner with Product Management
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, MDM, or PIM platforms
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into customer-facing products
• Experience with multi-region, high-availability systems and modern data platforms
• Experience leading globally distributed teams
• Background in M&A integration or major architectural transitions
