Senior Manager, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, including senior engineers and tech leads, fostering a culture of trust and continuous learning
• Drive technical strategy and architectural consistency across Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems
• Oversee the development and operation of cloud-native solutions on Azure and GCP
• Champion DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing
• Partner with Product, Finance, and Compliance stakeholders to translate automotive finance business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Mentor engineers through regular 1:1s, career planning, and performance management to develop the next generation of technical leaders

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in people management leading senior engineers or engineering managers
• Proficiency in programming languages including C, C#, and Java
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Expertise in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
• Proven experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native development principles
• Domain experience in automotive finance (retail and commercial lending/leasing)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving developer productivity using AI-enabled tools like GitHub Copilot
• Demonstrated success in scaling engineering teams within a regulated financial environment
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead through organizational change and ambiguity
