Senior Manager Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade ecommerce solutions to support global digital commerce operations.
• Drive the technical vision and roadmap for ecommerce platform capabilities, ensuring scalability and performance during high-traffic product launches.
• Design and implement AI agent orchestration and other AI-driven commerce experiences.
• Develop and improve bot mitigation strategies and detection systems to protect high-demand launches and ensure fair consumer access.
• Oversee the continuous improvement of development processes, including CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and operational excellence.
• Manage a team of engineers, including performance reviews, career development, and talent acquisition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of professional experience in ecommerce engineering and software development, specifically focusing on B2C products.
• Full-stack engineering proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Proven experience leveraging AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in an ecommerce environment (e.g., recommendation engines, intelligent search, or conversational AI).
• Experience building high-traffic launch capabilities, including queue management, traffic shaping, and real-time scaling.
• Demonstrated experience in people management and leading engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with Salesforce Commerce tools and B2C Commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of CDN configuration and edge computing in digital commerce environments.
• Experience with agentic/generative AI to improve engineering productivity and system outcomes.
