Senior Manager, Emerging Tech – Consumer Health and Medical Equipment Technologies

Responsibilities

• Maintain expertise in consumer health and digital health technology, including digital biomarkers and AI-powered sensing
• Apply Health AI knowledge to evaluate external innovations and identify strategic opportunities
• Identify and articulate new technology opportunities in consumer health for wearable, mobile, and home platforms
• Navigate the North American startup ecosystem and engage university research groups
• Serve as the primary liaison between external partners and internal R&D and product teams
• Build evidence-backed opportunity assessments and present them to senior leadership
• Drive alignment across multiple internal teams without direct management authority
• Coordinate cross-functional project activities across different geographies
• Maintain awareness of the regulatory landscape for digital health and medical devices

Requirements

• Master’s degree in technology, engineering, or life sciences (e.g., EE, BME, CS)
• 8+ years of professional experience in consumer health technology, digital health, or wearable devices
• Demonstrated expertise in Health AI technologies (AI/ML for wearables, digital biomarkers, or multimodal data analysis)
• Strong familiarity with biosensor technologies (PPG, ECG, bioimpedance, accelerometry)
• Established network within the North American consumer health startup ecosystem and university research groups
• Proven experience presenting to senior leadership
• Ability to drive outcomes across organizational boundaries without direct authority
• Experience leading complex, multi-team, and cross-geographic projects
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10%)

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or MBA
• Familiarity with medical imaging modalities such as ultrasound, digital X-ray, or CT
• Prior exposure to the clinical diagnostics and medical equipment industry
