Senior Manager EH&S

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the execution of Environmental Management strategy and priority initiatives for a large, complex site.
• Lead a team of Site EHS Program Managers to manage Air Quality, Regulated Waste, Hazardous Materials Transportation, and Water Quality.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and digital enablement of environmental management systems.
• Participate in the design, assessment, and implementation of compliant and sustainable new and modified facilities and processes.
• Monitor emerging environmental regulations and translate them into actionable site compliance strategies.
• Liaise with regulatory agency representatives, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
• Investigate environmental incidents and implement resilient corrective and preventive barriers.
• Lead the site Hazmat response program.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of EH&S experience
• OR Master’s degree and 4 years of EH&S experience
• OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of EH&S industry experience
• OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of EH&S industry experience
• OR High School diploma / GED and 12 years of EH&S industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading environmental compliance programs within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience evaluating emerging environmental regulations and developing compliance strategies.
• Experience supporting environmental risk assessment for capital projects, including wastewater permitting and treatment system design review.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and effectively influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and digital EHS platforms.
