About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute anchor deals across retail, super-app, and TV-OS surfaces
- Manage end-to-end partner relationships from sourcing through launch
- Perform commercial analysis and build deal models
- Identify and prioritize new partner opportunities
- Represent Glance in partner meetings and industry forums
- Coordinate cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, and finance teams
Requirements
- 7–10 years in business development, distribution partnerships, or commercial roles in Japan
- Experience in mobile, internet, advertising, retail/consumer tech, or media
- Proven track record of managing deals from first contact to launch
- Business-level fluency in Japanese and English
- Ability to operate with high autonomy in a Tokyo-based team
- High tolerance for ambiguity and early-stage market entry
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Japan's consumer surface economics (app stores, super-apps, loyalty rails)
- Experience launching new consumer surfaces or distribution channels in Japan
- MBA, ex-consulting, or ex-investment-banking background
