Senior Manager, Data Factory Operation

Responsibilities

• Direct the design, renovation, and construction of physical data collection sites and diverse scenarios like retail and manufacturing lines
• Lead a global contributor network for decentralized data collection and manage high-volume throughput tasks
• Develop and maintain SOPs, including VR teleoperation instructions and sensor calibration protocols
• Design and enforce action standards, technical compliance, and data integrity for all collected data
• Supervise the screening, filtering, and anonymization of raw robot data to ensure privacy compliance
• Provide technical and operational support for client-specific teleoperation and data inquiry needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Data Science
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale operations, robotics data collection, or AI/ML data operations
• Deep understanding of data privacy laws (GDPR/CCPA) and PII handling
• Proven experience managing complex data production pipelines and large device fleets
• Strong understanding of Embodied AI (EAI), robotics systems, and sensor systems (LiDAR, IMUs, RGB-D)
• Experience with data annotation, preprocessing, and dataset acceptance workflows
• Ability to manage vendors, contractors, and operational budgets
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with VR Teleoperation and multi-modal data formats (MCAP, HDF5)
• Experience working with humanoid robots or autonomous mobile robots (AMRs)
• Knowledge of synthetic data generation or simulation environments
• Experience managing global crowdsourcing networks for AI data collection
• PMP or Lean Six Sigma certifications
