About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide counterparty credit risk oversight, including reporting and analysis of risk metrics.
- Perform independent quantitative and qualitative analysis of counterparty risk, including wrong-way risk, collateral quality, and liquidity risks.
- Monitor exposure arising from OTC derivatives and securities financing transactions.
- Lead and develop direct reports through coaching and performance management.
- Act as an advisor to Credit Officers regarding distressed counterparties and emerging risks.
- Support Executive-level, Board, and regulatory reporting of counterparty risk.
- Manage the development of reporting systems and business intelligence tools.
- Maintain strong relationships with Management, Credit, Banking, and Front Office stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of direct experience in market risk and/or credit risk of traded products.
- Advanced knowledge of derivative products valuation, trading businesses, and markets.
- Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a complex environment.
- University degree in a business-related field.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent grasp of counterparty credit risk metrics and underlying drivers.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA or FRM certification.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI, Python, SQL, and Unix.
